What is SpyWare?
Spyware is any technology that aids in gathering
information about a person or organization without their
knowledge. On the Internet (where it is sometimes called a
spybot or tracking software ), spyware is programming that is
put in someone's computer to secretly gather information about
the user and relay it to advertisers or other interested
parties. Spyware can get in a computer as a software virus or as
the result of installing a new program. Spyware has become one
of the leading causes for computer crashes. Although it may
sound harmless it is far from being so. Spyware is also one the
leading causes to Identity theft and internet fraud. Is your
computer Spyware free? If your not sure then please take a
moment to answer the questions below.
1. Does your computer run slower then it used to?
2. Do pop-up ads suddenly appear out of nowhere?
3. Does your computer start up slower than it used to?
4. Do Random windows open and close during startup?
5. Are there icons on your desktop that you don't know how they
got there?
6. Does your home page suddenly change?
7. Do Google and other search engines take you somewhere else?
